It can be used with powders compatible with the standards used in the PTA-P process with regard to shape and size (granulometry). Using the mechanical principle of conveyor belts, a dosing drum transfers the material contained in the silo to the pneumatic transport hose. The feeding rate of welding consumables can be regulated both by rotating the drum and by adjusting the height between the drum and the silo discharge channel (GAP). The PTA-P torch has a compact design and is distinguished by the presence of only one water cooling circuit, reducing the number of accessories for coating or joining operations, contributing to better mobility of the system as a whole. Furthermore, special attention was paid to the assembly design of the parts, making changing consumables simpler and faster. In one of its versions (upon request), it allows welding in out-of-plane positions in a consistent manner, without the accumulation of filler material (metallic powder) inside and with regularity in the injection jets of material to the melting pool, maintaining lower carrier gas values compared to other models on the market.
